London has seen a top temperature of 19c whilst the mercury hit a record breaking 20.3c in Trawsgoed in Cardiganshire, Wales. The warmest day in Wales since February 1990.

The water works in Hampton, London was the hottest place to be in England, and many people went to South Bank on the Thames.
This is the first time since records began that the UK has seen warm weather of more than 20c in February.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “It’s been unusually mild in many areas of the country and this is the fourth day in a row we’ve hit 18C.
“Monday and Tuesday will be equally as warm, if not with a greater chance of 18C or 19C.”
He added, “Monday and Tuesday will be the last of the very mild days with temperatures coming back to average levels after that.”
