This is what Lib Dem leader Tim Farron said
The Liberal Democrats have put a second EU referendum in their general election manifesto, they have said it would “give the final say to the British people”.
The vote on the final Brexit deal will give an option to remain in the EU.
As well as this the Lib Dems believes they could bring in £1bn from legalising and taxing cannabis.
They are also focusing on young people with introducing bus passes and helping them get onto the housing ladder.
To pay for the new measures they would add 1p to income tax, restore corporation tax to 20 per cent, get rid of the married couples tax allowance and would lower the level at which inheritance tax kicks in.
Lib Dem leader Tim Farron spoke of Brexit saying it represented “the biggest fight for the future of our country in a generation”.
He said: “The Liberal Democrats want you to have your choice over your future,”
“You should have your say on the Brexit deal in a referendum. And if you don’t like the deal you should be able to reject it and choose to remain in Europe.”
