A regional conference has been called by Turkey and Iran on Wednesday to prevent the war in Gaza spreading to the “regions countries.”
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Qatar as Iran has warned that other rebel groups could start attacking Israel.
The Turkish Minister is calling for an immediate ceasefire as “it’s not difficult to predict that this spiral of violence will grow.”

Fidan said, “We do not want the human tragedy in Gaza to turn into a war that affects the region’s countries.”
Fidan said that Amir- Abdollahian “shared with us that there are strong indications that other armed elements in the region may intervene in the conflict if conditions do not change.
“A ceasefire and peace have become more essential.”
The Iranian Minister wants there to be a peace conference which will only be held by “Muslim and Arab” countries.
On Wednesday Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei urged all Muslim countries to stop all trade with Israel and oil exports as Israel’s military is bombarding the Gaza Strip relentlessly hour by hour.
Khamenei said in Tehran, “Islamic governments must insist on quickly ending the crimes,”
“Muslim countries should not cooperate economically with the Zionist regime (Israel),” adding, for a total “block on oil and food exports.”
Khamenei hit out at the US, the UK and France for standing “against Palestine,” adding, “the Muslim world must not forget who is putting pressure on the population of Gaza. It’s not just about the Zionist regime.”
In a direct warning to the US, the UK and France, the Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani warned “certain European countries which help” Israel should “be careful not to anger Muslims.”
