After the assassination of Major General Qasem Soleimani last Friday in Baghdad under the orders of President Trump, Iran is pledging to seek revenge.
On Monday during the funeral of Soleimani, state TV said that $1 will be tabled for every Iranian in the country, which totals 80m nationals, and the money will be distributed to whoever kills President Donald Trump.
The announcement on live state TV said, “Iran has 80m inhabitants. Based on the Iranian population, we want to raise $80m (£61m) which is a reward for those who get close to the head of President Trump.”
On Monday morning Abolfazl Aboutorabi and Iranian MP has threatened to attack the “White House.”
According to Iranian Labour news agency the MP said, “We can attack the White House itself, we can respond to them on the American soil.
“We have the power, and God willing we will respond in an appropriate time.”
Iranian General Esmail Ghaani who has now replaced Soleimani as the head of the elite Quds Iranian Revolutionary Guard Force reports only to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Ghanni who is now the second most powerful man in Iran after the Ayatollah has pledged that action will be taken against the assassination.
During Monday’s funeral he said, “God the almighty has promised to get his revenge, and God is the main avenger. Certainly, actions will be taken.”
