Talk about timing. Apple is due to report third quarter results later today and rumours that it the tech giant has placed record orders for the new iPhone have started doing rounds.
According to Wall Street Journal, Apple is set to make 70 million to 80 million handsets, the biggest volume it’s produced ever in iPhone history. The new iPhone 6 models are expected to be launched in September.
Apple ordered up to 60 million handsets of the 5s and 5c models last year.
It’s widely speculated that Apple will launch two iPhone models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens respectively.
