It is expected that the Transport Secretary Grant Shapps is to announce his backing to “regional travel corridors.”
This will mean that quarantine rules will be varied across England where regions or Islands of other countries who have different infection rates.
Mainland Spain has a far higher infection rate than the Canary Islands who have a low rate, which could see the quarantine rules lifted for the Islands.
The announcement expected in the House of Commons later on Monday only applies to England, and not the devolved administrations.
