Google search is down

Updated: Google is now working again. Crisis averted.

Google search is not working. We’re not sure what’s happening, but the Google search – the most basic of all Google functions, is not functioning.

A search for news generated the error message pictured.

Repeat. Google down.

It’s not just us either. Other people are reporting difficulties on Twitter.
