China has launched sustained cyber attacks against the India’s banking systems and government websites.

Just days after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in hand-to-hand combat with Chinese soldiers China has launched a series of DDOS (distributed denial of service) attacks.

The DDOS attacks are aimed to overwhelm networks as they are flooded with artificially created traffic which can crash websites and the financial systems.

China’s cyber attacks have struck government information websites, ATM’s and the banking and financial systems, which were traced back to the city of Chegdu, in central China.

According to reports the cyber attacks in India started on Tuesday through to Wednesday and have had little to no impact.
