The former mayor Boris Johnson was mocked as tweeted he had voted in the local elections, although no local elections took place in London.

Johnson said on Twitter, “I just voted Conservative in the local elections. Make sure you do too! You’ve got two hours left to get out and vote!”
Maybe someone wrote there was local elections in london on the side of a bus?

Almost immediately after he sent the tweet it was deleted however; eagle eyed twitter users were quick to get screengrabs of the tweet.

A twitter user said mocking BoJo “Did Gove tell him it was the local elections in London today?”
Johnson then wrote another tweet saying, “Don’t forget to go out and vote today for the team that delivers the best services for the best value in your community; vote Conservative!”
Don't forget to go out and vote today for the team that delivers the best services for the best value in your community; vote Conservative!

Anger was sparked by this tweet as people said despite being life long supporters of the Conservative party whilst Theresa May is at the helm they would not vote for the Tories.
