A foot of snow could hit today as freezing Arctic blast blankets UK

The Met Office has warned on Monday that heavy snow blizzards will block roads causing vehicles to become “Stranded” along with travel delays.

London and the South East are set to be hit with heavy snow, and the UK has been issued with a weather warning.

Most of the UK will see snow or ice throughout Monday temperatures are plummeting, and 2 to 5 inches of snow, with up to a foot in some places is set to hit.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said, “Monday will start cold for all.

“Snow will continue to fall in south-east England, with further snow showers elsewhere.”

The Met Office further warned that rural communities could become entirely cut off.

Storm Darcy will continue to bring heavy snow and strong winds to East Anglia and South East England, with amber warnings in place for Nottinghamshire, Sheffield and Lincolnshire with snow reaching up to 6 inches ins some areas.

The rest of England, parts of Scotland have yellow warning from the Met Office in place for snow and ice.
