Ukrainian President Zelensky says ‘Israel’s right to defense is beyond doubt’ amid Hamas attacks

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the world to unite and to bring to justice the organisers of the Hamas terrorist attack in southern Israel.

Zelensky said that he is confident that law and order will be restored and terrorists from the Iranian back Hamas will be eliminated.

He wrote on Telegram, “The world must be united and in solidarity so that terror never tries to subjugate or break life anywhere.

“Israel’s right to defense is beyond doubt. All the circumstances of this terrorist attack must be clarified so that the world knows and brings to justice everyone who instigated the attack and helped its organization.

“Nowhere in the world should terror be given any chance, because terror is always a crime not just against one country or its specific victims, but against humanity as such and our entire world.

“Whoever uses terror is a crime against peace. Whoever sponsors is a crime against peace.”

Zelenskyy called on Ukrainian citizens who are in the danger zone to carefully follow the instructions of the security forces on the ground.

He added, “Please take care of yourself! The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our embassy in Israel are ready to help in any situation.

“An operational headquarters has been created to help Ukrainians in Israel. If you need help, please contact us immediately in any way available to you, any of our diplomatic or consular mission.”

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine condemns the missile attacks by Hamas and other Palestinian groups on innocent civilians in Israel.

Speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote on social networks, “We express our strong support for Israel in its inalienable right to defend its people.

“Evil must be punished in all its manifestations, be it terrorist attacks or open acts of aggression.”
