Samsung launches world's first curved-display smartphone, Galaxy Round

It’s here! Samsung has launched the world’s first smartphone with a curved screen.

Called Galaxy Round, the phone has a 5.7in (14.5cm) display and weighs 154 grams.

Samsung describes the phone as “a comfortable hand grip feeling to users, and exclusive experiences of [a] curved display”.

The curved screen will help users to check the date and time and any missed calls while the screen is off.

The phone will initially be available in South Korea only. Samsung hasn’t announced the price of the phone or its intention of a global launch yet.
