Ryanair’s profits have climbed by more than a third after the low cost airline reported in the year to end of March profits after tax rose to £1.64 billion.

This comes as passenger numbers rose 9% to 183.7 million and a 25% hike in revenues to £11.51 billion offset surging costs in fuel.

Chief executive Michael O’Leary said, “We remain cautiously optimistic that peak summer 2024 fares will be flat to modestly ahead of last summer.”
