Sergey Mironov, chairman of the party and leader of the “A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth” faction in the State Duma has said that Moscow will “not accept NATO” being involved in Ukraine.

This comes as the US President Donald Trump spoke about the possibility of deploying peacekeepers to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Mironov told LodonLovesBusiness.com, “Russia has clearly said that it will not accept NATO participation in the conflict in Ukraine in any form.

“Trump continues to put pressure, but it is useless.

“In fact, a peacekeeping operation is already underway and is being conducted by the Russian army.

Putin not interested to end the war unless Ukraine ‘capitulates completely’

“The task is to put an end to the war that the Kiev regime unleashed against Donbass back in 2014.

“The denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine are the essence of this operation. And the residents of the liberated regions know well that where the Ukrainian neo-Nazis (Bandera) are operating, there is death and suffering, and where the Russian military personnel come, peace comes.

“The best thing Trump and the West can do in this situation is not to drag NATO troops into Ukraine but to stop supporting the Zelensky regime. This regime is the main obstacle to peace today.”

This comes as Trump said in the Oval Office on Monday with the French President Emmanuel Macron, that “specifically asked” Putin about European troops being inside Ukraine, the Russian leader allegedly said he “has no problem” with this.

However, last week the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, “the deployment of troops… [from] NATO countries, but under a foreign flag, under the flag of the European Union or under national flags… is, of course, unacceptable to us.”

Lavrov made it is exceptionally clear at a press conference in Turkey, Russia will stop all military activity once peace talks bring about a “solid, stable result that suits Russia” and the “realities” on the frontlines.
