The Russian Foreign Minister has issued a stark warning to the UK and NATO that should they shoot down any Russian warplane in Russia’s airspace they will “regret it.”
Speaking at the UN in New York Sergei Lavrov took aim at the West threatening there will be a “decisive response” to any NATO attack over Russian airspace.
This comes as Poland, Romania and Estonia have had their airspace violated by Russian jets and the US President Donald Trump last week ordered NATO to “shoot down” any Russian jets that enter the alliances sovereign airspace.
Lavrov claims that no Russian warplanes have entered the West’s airspace, despite photographic and video evidence proving otherwise.
Lavrov threatened at the UN, “Any aggression against my country will be met with a decisive response.

“There should be no doubt about this among those in Nato and the EU who… are telling their voters that war with Russia is inevitable.
“If there are attempts to down any flying object, any object… in our airspace, then I think people will very much regret undertaking such an egregious violation of our territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
Lavrov then took aim at Berlin accusing the Chancellor Friedrich Merz of “militaristic rhetoric.”
Also at the UN the Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said that Russia is delivering the hypersonic “Oreshnik” ballistic missiles to NATO’s doorstep.
The Oreshnik has a range of 2,500 to 3,000km and has a speed of 7,610mph which is equipped with six warheads, the missile is nuclear capable and deliver charges with a total yield 900 kilotons, which is equal to 45 Hiroshimas.
Ryzhenkov warned, “The Doomsday Clock shows less than one and a half minutes to midnight, symbolising the moment of nuclear apocalypse.
“This is the closest the clock has ever been to midnight.”
Lavrov told the G20 Foreign Ministers that NATO and the EU has “declared war” on Russia by their involvement in Ukraine.
