Overnight Russia launched “117 drones” against Ukraine which proves that Vladimir Putin does not want peace and is prolonging the war.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that they have “another 117 proofs” of Putin wanting to drag out the war in Ukraine.
This comes as the US brokered a ceasefire on 25 March between Kyiv and Moscow, but Putin only agreed to a partial ceasefire and missiles and drones have continued to rain down on Ukraine.
President Zelensky said, “Last night, there were another 117 proofs in our skies of how Russia continues to drag out this war – 117 strike drones, most of them Shaheds.
“A significant number were shot down by our air defenders.”

Donald Trump was asked by a reporter if he believes Putin “wants to see an end” to the war, he replied, “I don’t know. I mean, I’ll let you know at a certain point. But I think that Russia wants to see an end to it, but it could be they’re dragging their feet.”
Trump said, “I’ve done it over the years, you know; ‘I don’t want to sign a contract, I want to sort of stay in the game, but maybe I don’t want to do it’,” adding he knows Zelensky would “like to see it (the war) end at this point.”
An unclassified US intelligence assessment has warned that Putin could be seeing a better incentive to keep the war going as he is looking to settle for a greater peace deal by securing the occupied territories.
Bloomberg reported that a report conducted by the US Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard says that Zelensky and Putin “for now probably still see the risks of a longer war as less than those of an unsatisfying settlement.”
