Pret a Manger to reopen more store for takeaway

Pret a Manger are to reopen a further 71 stores after opening an initial 30, which will be for takeaway deliveries only.

In a blog post addressed to customers, Pret chief executive Pano Christou said: “It’s been fantastic to see so many of you respecting the changes we’ve made, and we’re extremely grateful for your ongoing support.”

All the shops will have a Perspex screen at the tills and there will be restrictions on how many customers will be allowed in the shop at one time.

Christou said that customers will also be provided with hand sanitiser.
