The pound has extended its fall against the dollar and is now trading down 0.42 per cent after ex-defence secretary Sir Michael Fallon launched a scathing attack on the proposed EU agreement, saying it was the “worst of all worlds”.

This is not all. The DUP party leader has also issued her latest broadside against the Government in a series of interviews.

Foster told the BBC that May “has given up and is saying this is where we are and we have to accept it”. “She may have given up on futher negotiations but I haven’t given up,” she added.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Foster further said that it was “offensive” to suggest that the party was bluffing in its threat to vote down the Brexit deal due to its concerns over the impact it would have on the integrity of the United Kingdom, or that it was prepared to back it in exchange for extra money.
