On Monday NATO jets were scrambled as Vladimir Putin launched an enormous attack on Ukraine.
NATO jets were โplaced on the highest level of combat readinessโ and across all of Ukraine air raid sirens were ringing out with people running to the bomb shelters.
On Monday morning three MiG-31Ks armed with hypersonic missiles struck parts of the country and the Starokostiantyniv Air Base in western Ukraine was also attacked with the missiles including Dagger and Kinzhal missiles.
Russia launched one of the largest combined air strikes on Ukraine since the war started on 24 February 2022, the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement.
On Monday Russia hit Ukraine with 324 drone strikes, 4 Kh-101 cruise missiles fired from aircraft and 3 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles were also launched.

Ukraine shot down 309 drones and two Kh-101 cruise missiles and two missiles and 15 drone struck three targets.
Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces said fighter jets were deployed after โlong-range aviation of the Russian Federation once again launched missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.โ

The Ministry said, “Polish and allied aircraft on standby were scrambled and ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on the highest level of combat readiness.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News that the US President is becoming โimpatientโ with Putin stalling to end the war.
Rubio said, “I think he is growing increasingly frustrated that despite having very good interaction with Vladimir Putin in phone calls, it never leads to anything so the time has come for some action here, and I think the president has made that abundantly clear.โ
He added, “He’s losing his patience, he is losing his willingness to continue to wait for the Russian side to do something here to bring an end to this war.
โThat wasn’t his war, but he wants to see it come to an end.”
