Oasis and Warehouse administrators strike deal resulting in over 1,800 job losses

Administrators for high street fashion retailers Oasis and Warehouse have struck a deal with Hilco Capital to buy both brands and the stock from their 437 outlets across the UK. However, the deal did not include their 90 standalone high street stores.

The retailers collapsed on 22 April after appointing Deloitte as administrators.

At least 1,800 redundancies are expected as a result of the administrators being unable to find a buyer for the stores.

According to Sky News, it is understood on Thursday that staff would not receive statutory redundancy pay from the company.
