Thousands of O2 customers were left frustrated today after they lost signal on their phones.

People from London, Bristol, Manchester among other cities took to Twitter to vent out their frustration.

Sajid Javid, the business secretary, tweeted O2 urging it to “sort out” signal problems.

O2 told its customers to turn their phones off and on again to regain signal.

O2 tweeted: “We’re working flat out (and upright too) to get these fixed. Sorry for the problems.”

In another tweet, the phone provider said: “Sorry for all the effort you’ve had to put in Ems. We’re making sure our engineers put in even more to fix the problems!”

“We’re aware of isolated instances where some customers have intermittent access to our service. We’re investigating and will update ASAP”.
