Waitrose is planning to open up to 100 convenience shops

As part of a £1 billion investment Waitrose is planning to open up to 100 convenience shops over the next five years across England and Scotland.

James Bailey, executive director of Waitrose, said the “groundwork we have undertaken behind the scenes in recent years.”

This means that Waitrose can continue to open new stores that will ensure “our existing ones are providing great shopping experiences that match the quality of our products.”

Bailey added the new store will be rolled out “as we continue to work towards the Waitrose of the future.”
