The government have put forward emergency powers to jail any protestor caught vandalising, assaulting police or causing criminal damage.
According to The Times newspaper protestors could be processed very quickly through magistrates and be sent to directly to jail as they will have extended hours.
Based on the 2011 riots that rocked London, Home Secretary Priti Patel and Justice Secretary Robert Buckland have put forward the measures.
