US President warns Putin he has 50 days to sign a peace deal or face ‘very severe tariffs’

The US President is mulling over the idea of sending the American JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) to Ukraine, Military Watch Magazine reported.

The Military Watch Magazine revealed an unnamed source close to Trump made the claim and rumours have been circling.

Two further unnamed sources have said that Washington is considering sending the precision missiles which can strike deep inside Russia, including Moscow and can be fired from F-16s.

This comes as the US President said last week that he will be making a “major statement” on Monday over sending weapons to Ukraine.

On Sunday Donald Trump said that he will send Patriot defence missiles to Kyiv as Ukraine is being pounded hard every night.

Following a recent call with Putin, Trump told the French President Emmanuel Macron that the Russian dictator “wants all it,” referring to Ukraine.

Senator Lindsey Graham who is Trump’s top ally has been preparing fresh sanctions on Russia, he said that the US President is “really p***ed at Putin,” he said on Sunday.

Graham added, “His announcement tomorrow is going to be very aggressive.”

Trump has announced on Monday that the Russian despot has 50 days to sign a peace deal with Ukraine or Russia will be slapped with “very severe tariffs.”

Speaking from the White House on Monday afternoon the US President said, “We’re going to be doing secondary tariffs.

“If we don’t have a deal in 50 days, it’s very simple, and they’ll be at 100%.

“And that’s the way it is.. it’s just the way it is. I hope we don’t have to do it.”

Trump said speaking from the Oval Office, that he will be sending “top of the line weapons” to NATO to then head on to Ukraine.

Trump said, “We’ve made a deal today where we are going to be sending them weapons, and they’re going to be paying for them.”

The US President said Putin’s war on Ukraine has “got to stop,” adding, “This is billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment which is going to be purchased from the United States, going to NATO, and that’s going to be quickly distributed to the battlefield.”

The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said of Trump selling weapons to the alliance, “It will mean that Ukraine can get its hands on really massive numbers of military equipment, both for air defence, but also missiles, ammunition.”

Rutte added,  “..so if I was Vladimir Putin today and hear you speaking about what you were planning to do in 50 days and this announcement, I would reconsider whether I should not take negotiations about Ukraine more seriously than I was doing at the moment.”
