The Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has hit out at Keir Starmer accusing him have “having now answers for today’s problems.”

This comes as the grooming gangs scandal row is escalating and Badenoch said that Starmer is using “Labour smear tactics from 20 years ago.”

This comes as Starmer said on Monday that a “line has been crossed” as Elon Musk the SpaceX boss called the Safeguarding Minister Jess Philips a “witch” and a “rape genocide apologist.”

Starmer hit out at the Tories accusing them of failing to call out comments by politicians who are “casual about honesty and decency.”

Starmer said on Monday that there has been “lies and misinformation” over the grooming gangs and accused the “far-right” saying they are “not interested in victims” as they are only “interested in themselves.”

Starmer took aim at the Conservatives and accused them of “amplifying what the far-right is saying” over sex abuse of children.

Starmer said that the Tories are “jumping on the bandwagon” for attention and said that for “14 long years” they failed to act.

The Tesla boss accused the Starmer when he was the Director of Public Prosecutions that he was “complicit in the rape of Britain.”

Starmer said that Badenoch’s calls for a national inquiry into child sex abuse was undermined by the Conservatives as they failed to implement the recommendations of a previous report accusing them of wanting “to get noticed” which is “more important” for the Tory Party than the issue at hand.

Badenoch said, “He is a man of the past with no answers for today’s problems, let alone tomorrows.

“That such a huge scandal could occur should prompt soul-searching not ranting that those of us who care about it are ‘the far-right’.”

The Conservatives has planning to put forward an amendment on Wednesday for a national inquiry into the grooming gangs scandal.

Badenoch said, “So on Wednesday, Conservatives will put forward an amendment to the Children’s Wellbeing Bill to require a full national inquiry into the rape gangs grooming scandal.

“If the amendment is selected, I hope MPs from all parties will vote to support the inquiry, so we can do right by the victims and end the culture of cover-ups.”
