Denmark named the least corrupt country in the world
The UK is among the least corrupt countries in the world, watchdog Transparency International’s annual global review of corruption has found.
Britain is number 10 on the list thanks to the “good rhetoric” from the government on fighting corruption.
The watchdog’s director Robert Barrington said: “Britain has a prime minster who is talking a good game on anti-corruption with plans for a global summit on it in May. Whether he delivers on that remains to be seen.”
The watchdog ranked 168 countries’ corruption levels.
