Thousands of displaced Palestinians are returning back to the Gaza Strip after Israel started their bombing raids to rid the area of the Hamas terrorists who killed and took innocent Israeli’s hostage in October 2023.

The US President Donald Trump has said he wants to “take over” the Gaza Strip and resettle some 1.8 million Palestinians.

This has sparked outrage from many world leaders as Trump said he wants to turn the strip into a the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

During Prime Minister’s Questions, Sir Keir Starmer said, “I have from the last few weeks two images fixed in my mind.

“The first is the image of Emily Damari reunited with her mother which I found extremely moving.

“The second was the image of thousands of Palestinians walking through the rubble to try to find their homes and communities in Gaza.

“They must be allowed home, they must be allowed to rebuild, and we should be with them with that rebuild on the way to a two-state solution.”

During a press conference with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House Trump said, “I don’t think people should be going back.

“You can’t live in Gaza right now. I think we need another location. I think it should be a location that’s going to make people happy.”

The US President said that America will take over Gaza, redevelop it once the Palestinians are resettled somewhere else.

Trump said that he will “make sure that it’s done world class” and it will “be wonderful for the people, Palestinians, Palestinians mostly, we’re talking about.”

Saudi Arabia said in a stern statement, “The kingdom of Saudi Arabia also stresses what it had previously announced regarding its absolute rejection of infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands or efforts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.”
