Snickers the UK’s second favourite chocolate bar that has global sales of £1.6bn each year is to receive a nostalgic revival and be rebranded back to Marathon.
The new retro edition is now on sale at Morrisons supermarkets and will be available for the next three months.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Gemma Buggins, Mars brand director said, “Bringing the Marathon bar branding back for a limited time really was a no-brainer.
“It’s a great way to celebrate more than 85-years of Mars making chocolate in the UK and we hope this serves as a wonderful treat for fans of Snickers who remember when it was called Marathon.”
On 19 July 1990 Marathon was rebranded Snickers.
