In a show of inclusiveness as Pride celebrations begin across Europe, Revolut will release 30,000 limited edition rainbow cards to its five million customers on Monday 1 July. The new rainbow cards will be free of charge and available on a first come, first serve basis.

The new rainbow cards will work in the exact same way as all other Revolut cards, allowing customers to set up monthly spending budgets, round up their card payments and save up their spare change, and to spend and transfer money globally with the real exchange rate.

The launch of the Revolut’s new rainbow card marks the first step in the company’s plans to work more closely with important social causes, with further announcements planned early next week.

Revolut has also partnered with six inspiring LGBT+ influencers for London Pride Week: Melanie Murphy, Riyadh K, Julia Zelg, Nova & Olympia, and Salih’s World. Revolut is standing proudly alongside them in support of LGBT+ rights and equality.

Chad West, Head of Communications at Revolut said, “Consumers today demand a greater degree of affinity with the values of the brands they opt into, and launching our new rainbow card marks a small step in our plans to support more social causes.”

Marsel Nikaj, Product Owner at Revolut said, “As we continue to build a diverse and equal rights business, supporting LGBT+ rights remains a cause close to our hearts. We love the design of our new rainbow cards and feel they are a great way to celebrate Pride month. They mark the first small step in our plans to work closely with important social causes and we can’t wait to unveil the next stage of our plans.”
