Reformโs Deputy Leader has said they will introduce a โSAS-style approachโ to the councils they have won, to find out the real reasons as to why they are โteetering on the brink of bankruptcy.โ
Richard Tice said Reform UK wants to find out โwhatโs going onโ and where the money has been spent, then on top of this they have โgot to save money.โ
Nigel Farage the leader of Reform UK has said he will send in Reform โauditorsโ into the councils to look at ways to find savings, he added that โtoday marks the end of two-party politicsโ in the UK, โit is finished, it is over, it is gone.โ
Speaking to GB News, Tice said, “Weโve got dozens of councils up and down the country teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.
“So what Iโm saying is, we need to adopt a SAS-style approach to this. Weโve got to save money.
“Weโve got to audit the finances open the books, see whatโs going on, open up all the contracts, and find out whatโs been badly procured.”
He added: “Weโve got great skills. We come from a variety of backgrounds.
“We’re not wannabe party corporate apparatchiks or greasy pole climbers. Our candidates have been around the block. And so, yeah, Iโm confident we can do it.”
“Are we going to be perfect? No, of course not. Of course we’ll make mistakes. But what you will get is a degree of honesty.
“When we dig into the books, weโll find out where all the moneyโs gone.”
“But letโs be absolutely clear county councils deal with important local issues, but weโre also hearing massive concern about the national issues you just touched on.
“The boats 34,000-plus have crossed the Channel since the election. Mass low-skilled immigration suppressing wages.
“These things weigh on people, as well as the cost of bills and the cost of living caused by net stupid zero.”
“So, we are making serious progress. There are lots of issues to take on lots to take on.”
