Reformโ€™s Deputy Leader has said they will introduce a โ€œSAS-style approachโ€ to the councils they have won, to find out the real reasons as to why they are โ€œteetering on the brink of bankruptcy.โ€

Richard Tice said Reform UK wants to find out โ€œwhatโ€™s going onโ€ and where the money has been spent, then on top of this they have โ€œgot to save money.โ€

Nigel Farage the leader of Reform UK has said he will send in Reform โ€œauditorsโ€ into the councils to look at ways to find savings, he added that โ€œtoday marks the end of two-party politicsโ€ in the UK, โ€œit is finished, it is over, it is gone.โ€

Speaking to GB News, Tice said, “Weโ€™ve got dozens of councils up and down the country teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

“So what Iโ€™m saying is, we need to adopt a SAS-style approach to this. Weโ€™ve got to save money.

“Weโ€™ve got to audit the finances open the books, see whatโ€™s going on, open up all the contracts, and find out whatโ€™s been badly procured.”

He added: “Weโ€™ve got great skills. We come from a variety of backgrounds.

“We’re not wannabe party corporate apparatchiks or greasy pole climbers. Our candidates have been around the block. And so, yeah, Iโ€™m confident we can do it.”

“Are we going to be perfect? No, of course not. Of course we’ll make mistakes. But what you will get is a degree of honesty.

“When we dig into the books, weโ€™ll find out where all the moneyโ€™s gone.”

“But letโ€™s be absolutely clear county councils deal with important local issues, but weโ€™re also hearing massive concern about the national issues you just touched on.

“The boats 34,000-plus have crossed the Channel since the election. Mass low-skilled immigration suppressing wages.

“These things weigh on people, as well as the cost of bills and the cost of living caused by net stupid zero.”

“So, we are making serious progress. There are lots of issues to take on lots to take on.”
