Just days after teenager Natasha Ednan-Laperouse died after eating a Pret sandwich following an allergic reaction, the food chain has now announced that it will list all ingredients, including allergens, on its freshly made products.

The chain will start trialling full ingredient labelling from next month.

Clive Schlee, Pret Chief Executive, added: “I want to say again how deeply sorry we are for the loss of Natasha. I said we would learn from this tragedy and ensure meaningful changes happen.

“I hope these measures set us on course to drive change in the industry so people with allergies are as protected and informed as possible. Nothing is more important to Pret right now.”

Natasha went into cardiac arrest on a flight after buying a sandwich at Heathrow Airport in 2016.
