Russian soldiers are now so desperate not only are they being led by donkeys they are now using โ€œdonkeys to deliver ammunitionโ€ amid a shortage of transportation.

The Soviet army has not used donkeys for more than 100-years and troops are being delivered ammunition by the four-legged animal.

Military blogger Kirill Fedorov wrote on his Telegram said that the Russian government transport list now include Camels, horses, dear as well as donkeys.

Fedorov wrote, โ€œThe fighters were given a donkey to deliver ammunition to the front line. What did you expect? Cars are in short supply these days.โ€

Ukrainian official Anton Gerashchenko also shared the shocking footage of donkeys being used to transport vital essentials to the frontlines.

Gerashchenko said that Russia is โ€œrolling back to the times of the Russian Empire.โ€

A Russian soldier can be heard saying, โ€œI heard it, then saw it, and was f****** stunned. Just accept it as reality. Donโ€™t ask where, why, who, or how. F*** knows.

โ€œBut the fact is, weโ€™ve been given a donkey. Weโ€™re really struggling with transportation, right?โ€

According to Russian war corespondent Roma Sapozhnikov, โ€œThe feeling is that those who are responsible for rearming the army with [armored fighting vehicles] and tanks โ€ฆ froze and abstracted themselves.โ€

A military expert told Novaya Gazeta Europe, โ€œA donkey or a horse will be able to overcome the impassable roads in muddy conditions and deliver, for example, food or ammunition to a stronghold located in a forest plantation far from the roads.โ€
