North Korean army recruits 1.4 million as they’re on ‘the brink of war’ with South Korea

The North Korean military has recruited 1.4 million soldiers who are filled with “burning hatred” for South Korea and has threatened South Korea will be “wiped off the map.”

North Korea have accused Seoul of violating their airspace with drones over the capital city has once again put the two countries on “the brink of war.”

North Korea’s leader sister Kim Yo Jong said they have “clear evidence” that South Korea is behind the drones violating their territorial integrity dropped a “huge number” of anti-North Korea leaflets.

She warned, “If these provocations happen again, the consequences will be horrible.”

North Korean state media has reported that between 14 and 15 October they recruited 1.4 million young people to join Kim Jong Un’s army.

On Tuesday North Korea blew up roads and rail lines along the border warning that South Korea will “pay a dear price.”

Those who have joined North Korea’s army have vowed to fight a “sacred war of destroying the enemy with the arms of the revolution,” the official KCNA news agency said.

“If a war breaks out, the ROK will be wiped off the map. As it wants a war, we are willing to put an end to its existence,” KCNA reported.

In 2023 North Korea recruited 800,000 recruits and according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), North Korea has 1.28 million active soldiers and about 600,000 reservists, this number is now significantly higher.

North Korea also has 5.7 million Worker/Peasant Red Guard reservists within many of their units.

On Wednesday the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have confirmed that Russia is training more than 10,000 North Korean soldiers for war in Ukraine.

RBC-Ukraine reported that a source said that thousands of North Korean troops will be deployed to the border areas close to Ukraine.

Sources told the media outlet on Tuesday the Russian Army are creating a special Buryat battalion which will have around 3,000 soldiers which will be North Korean.

The “special Buryat battalion” is based on the 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade and North Korean soldiers will make up the ranks, UAF sources told the publication.

The North Korean troops will gain valuable battlefield experience in Ukraine and this would be vital for Pyongyang should they invade or attack South Korea.

Moscow has warned that they will send North Korea military assistance if they come under an attack which is stipulated in a signed treaty between Vladimir Putin and Jong-Un.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said if there is any acts of aggression against North Korea then the Kremlin will use “all necessary measures” to protect the country.

Rudenko told Russian state media, “If an act of aggression is committed against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, all necessary measures will be taken in accordance with our legislation, in accordance with the DPRK’s legislation.”

This is warning to the West who support South Korea and could signal Pyongyang’s intentions.
