A new ranking reveals which celebrity-owned bar is the most popular among Brits right now – with Jeremy Clarkson storming to the top of the leaderboard.

Turvallinen Kasinoย analysed Google reviews and ratings, TripAdvisor reviews and ratings, and average monthly Google searches to create the leaderboard, awarding each pub a score out of 10 based on overall popularity across the platforms.

When all factors are considered, Jeremy Clarksonโ€™s โ€˜proper British pubโ€™ The Farmerโ€™s Dog attracts the most positive attention, scoring 8.7 out of 10.

Despite having only opened in August last year, the pub has attracted the most Google reviews of any celeb-owned establishment at a whopping 5,581. The majority of these reviews were positive, awarding the pub an average rating of 4.7 stars.

It attracted fewer reviews on TripAdvisor, with 651, but holds a rating of 4.2. The pub was by far the most searched of those analysed, attracting an average of 30,000 Google searches across the UK each month.

The second most popular establishment at the moment is Plume of Feathers, which was owned by Neil Morrissey up until a few months ago. Despite walking away from his investment in March, the pub still scored 4.9 out of 10 – meaning thereโ€™s a huge margin between The Farmerโ€™s Dog and the rest of Britainโ€™s celeb-owned pubs.

The Stoke-on-Trent pub holds an average rating of 4.4 stars across 2,690 Google reviews and attracts just over four thousand Google searches each month.

In third is Sir Ian McKellenโ€™s Limehouse-based pub The Grapes, scoring 4.8 out of 10 in the popularity ranking. It holds a respectable 4.5-star rating on Google and a 3.9-star rating on TripAdvisor, attracting 4,178 reviews across both platforms.

Fourth is Guy Ritchie and David Beckhamโ€™s Lore of the Land, which scored 4.5 out of 10. The pub holds the second-highest Google interest with an average of 11,000 searches made per month, and holds an average rating of 4.4 out of five stars across both Google and TripAdvisor.

Rounding out the top five celebrity-owned pubs is James Bluntโ€™s The Fox and Pheasant, scoring 4 out of 10. The pub has a TripAdvisor score of 4.5 across a modest 208 reviews and attracts 2,500 average monthly Google searches.

At the other end of the scale, the celeb-backed pub thatโ€™s failing to inspire visitors is Rick Astleyโ€™s Mikkeller Bar in London, scoring just 0.9 out of 10 in the ranking. The establishment was primarily let down by its lack of search interest, with just 90 Google searches recorded each month.

Jodie Kiddโ€™s The Half Moon also struggles to impress visitors at a score of 3.2 out of 10. The pub holds a 4.1 rating on TripAdvisor and is searched for just 900 times each month.

Overall, the pub with the highest TripAdvisor score was James Bluntโ€™s The Fox and Pheasant at 4.5 stars out of five, while Clarksonโ€™s The Farmerโ€™s Dog dominated Google reviews at 4.7 stars.

Discussing the findings, Markus Kanerva, CEO of Turvallinen Kasino said, โ€œWith celebrity-owned pubs benefitting from increased exposure thanks to their famous investors, itโ€™s interesting to see how these marketing efforts have affected popularity among Brits over the last few months – with Jeremy Clarkson clearly making a huge impression with his recent pub venture.

โ€œThere was a lot of pressure on The Farmerโ€™s Dog to perform well given the visibility of Clarksonโ€™s Farm and interest from local residents, but itโ€™s clear this pressure has formed a diamond. The pub is 78% more popular than the second-most popular establishment (with an 8.7 score compared to a 4.9 score), and holding a 4.7-star rating from five thousand reviews is no small feat.โ€
