Netflix, an online streaming service, has begun rolling out a new feature where it lets customers download videos for offline use, onto smartphones and tablets.

Offline viewing has been users biggest demand, and one of the very things that differentiated from other services such as Amazon’s video streaming service.

Eddy Wu, Netflix director of product innovation, said on its blog: “While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where internet is expensive or limited.”

The new feature is available now on both Android and iOS devices, and includes many TV series and films. Some of these include the famous Orange is The New Black, Narcos and the recently released show The Crown, Netflix will be adding more to its download list soon.

The video downloads won’t come at any extra cost within the services existing monthly subscription fees, which start at £5.99 a month in the UK.
