National Grid sells off parts of its portfolio

National Grid has said they will sell their US onshore renewables arm to Brookfield Asset Management in a deal worth £1.37 billion and it is expected to be finalised by September.

The infrastructure energy group runs most of the UK’s electricity grid are selling off parts of their portfolio to fund future investment plans.

National Grid said, “This transaction is another important step in delivering National Grid’s previously communicated strategy to focus on networks and streamline our business, as announced in May 2024.”
