Michael Bloomberg, former New York mayor and founder of Bloomberg, is taking steps to enter the race for the Democratic presidential nomination ahead of the 2020 elections, according to media reports.
“Mike believes that Donald Trump represents an unprecedented threat to our nation,” Mr Bloomberg’s adviser Howard Wolfson said in a statement, according to the Wall Street Journal.
“We now need to finish the job and ensure that Trump is defeated—but Mike is increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned to do that.”
