A power outage has hit the London Underground, Transport for London (TfL) said the incident is a โ€œblip.โ€

The whole of the Bakerloo line and Suffragette Overground have been suspended on Monday and on the Jubilee, Northern and Elizabeth lines there is severe delays.

A TfL spokesman said the power outage is in South-west London for a few โ€œminutesโ€ then โ€œeverything shutdown.โ€

The spokesman added, “some people would have probably been stuck in a tunnel for a little bit of time.โ€

They are currently trying to get โ€œthings back up and running again.โ€

There has been reports of people being evacuated from the Elizabeth line and Embankment Tube station and between Paddington and Abbey Wood the power outage has led to no services.

TfL has also said, “No service between Paddington and Abbey Wood due to a power supply failure. GOOD SERVICE on the rest of the line”.

Commuters are facing problems trying to get around London and one person wrote on X, โ€œTottenham court road fully shut down and i cannot get anywhere in [Iโ€™m] stranded here.โ€

Another person wrote, โ€œEvacuated from the Elizabeth line.โ€

TfL said that power was restored at around 3pm, but it is taking time for the services to be restored.
