Lidl to create a further 400 jobs by building a new warehouse in Leeds

Following huge “demand” Lidl are to build a warehouse in Leeds which will create 400 new jobs as the supermarket expands across the UK.

In Luton the discount supermarket are building their largest global warehouse in Luton which will create 1,500 jobs.

Lidl currently employers around 31,000 staff and has more than 960 stores across the UK.

Ryan McDonnell, chief executive officer of Lidl Great Britain, said: “Demand for Lidl has never been higher as more and more people realise they can make significant savings on every shop without compromising on quality.

“Our success is dependent on the amazing work that colleagues do and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands more throughout 2023.”
