Kremlin warns an ‘adequate response will be given immediately’ to Kyiv striking on Victory Day parade

6th May 25 2:01 pm

The Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Medvedev has warned that should Ukraine attack Russia during Vladimir Putin’s “three-day truce” there will be an “adequate response.”

Putin announced the three-day ceasefire on 28 April so Russia can enjoy their Victory Day parade in Moscow on 9 May and it is thought there could be around 20 world leaders attending.

Peskov said, “the relevant instructions have been given by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief,” he then warned if Ukraine does not obey Putin’s demand there will be an instant and a quick response.

Peskov added, “The fire will be stopped, but if there is no reciprocity from the Kyiv regime and attempts to strike our positions or our facilities continue, then an adequate response will be given immediately.”

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, This is more of a theatrical performance on his part.

“Because in two or three days, it is impossible to develop a plan for the next steps to end the war.”

He added that Kyiv will not be “playing games to create a pleasant atmosphere to allow for Putin’s exit from isolation on 9 May.”

He continued, “Our position is very simple towards all countries that have travelled or are travelling to Russia on May 9,  we cannot take responsibility for what is happening on the territory of the Russian Federation,” which comes as Kyiv has been asked by countries can they give assurances for their safety inside Russia.

“They are ensuring your safety.”

The Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, gave a nuclear warning saying that if Ukraine attacks Moscow on 9 May then “nobody will be able to guarantee Kyiv will live to see May 10.”
