Hezbollah are training Russian troops in Syria to use drones for Ukraine

Russian troops are being trained in Syria by the Lebanese Party of God, Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Russians are being trained at the Syrian airbase of Shayrat and are also being trained to use remote controlled aircraft.

Ukrainian intelligence said that the military exercises being led by Kamal Abu Sadiq, a Hezbollah commander who specialises in manufacturing and the maintenance of drones.

The Ukrainian intelligence agency wrote on Telegram, “Trainings for Muscovites are being conducted by the Lebanese Hezbollah Police and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the territory of the Syrian military airbase of Shayrat.

“The Lebanese-Iranian-Russian training course provides for the development of the Shahed-136 and Ababil-3 UAVs, as well as the Raad remote-controlled aircraft.”

“Syrian mercenaries are undergoing training together with the Russians, whom Moscow plans to use in the war against Ukraine as UAV operators,” the intelligence agency added.
