The hot spell is raging in Europe as well with holidaymakers, especially in Spain and Portugal, being warned for record-breaking temperatures.
However, this warm and sunny weekend is expected to give way to a cooler next week- with temperatures ranging from 17 to 24C in the north, to 20 to 32C in the south, according to the weatherman.
Change is on the way! By the end of next week temperatures will have lowered closer towards normal for the time of year as cooler northwesterly winds head towards Britain https://t.co/qVQo4cq5je 🌡️📉 #FridayFeeling pic.twitter.com/9mKHkurrcW

A spokesman for the Met Office added: ‘Essentially, at the end of the week we’re looking at a bit of a north-west/south-east split in the weather. Northern and some western areas will often be cooler with some outbreaks of rain – particularly in Northern Ireland and that could spread into the south and western Scotland.’
