British firms are supplying component parts for Russian drones and missiles

6th Oct 25 12:56 pm

The Ukrainian President is calling for tougher sanctions as British parts are being supplied to Russia for their drones, Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Western allies have rightly been slammed for allowing firms to supply component parts for Vladimir Putinโ€™s war on Ukraine.

This week during the G7 meeting Zelensky will call for stronger sanctions and restrictions on the supply of components to Russia.

On Sunday Ukraine was attacked once again in a brutal strike which killed several people, President Zelensky said that hundreds of thousands of foreign made parts where in the drone, many were British, along with other components from other countries.

Lviv which is in Western Ukraine was hit in the largest attack since the war started, Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the local military administration said.

President Zelensky said, “Now, in the fourth year of a full-scale war, it is simply strange to hear that someone there does not seem to know how to stop the supply of critical components.

โ€œJust one Russian Kinzhal missile contains 96 foreign-made components, many of which are truly critical components that Russia itself does not produce.

โ€œThe almost 500 drones that the Russians used last night are more than 100 thousand foreign-made components. Among the manufacturers are companies from the United States of America, China, Taiwan, as well as Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Netherlands. There are, in particular, schemes for several countries. All this must be stopped.

“All our proposals for sanctions, for limiting supply schemes are there, our partners have them.

โ€œThe materials have been provided – solutions are needed. We are also preparing our new sanctions against those who are working for Russia now, for its war, and against those who are trying to weaken Ukraine at such a time.โ€

He added, “Partners already possess the detailed data on each company and each product – they know what to target and how to respond.

“This week, the G7 sanctions coordinators will meet, and we expect a systemic decision to ensure that the sanctions are truly effective.

“It is crucial to shut down every scheme that circumvents sanctions, because Russia uses each one to keep killing. The world has the power to stop this.”
