Supermarket giant Asda has been bought for £6.8bn by the billionaire Blackburn Brothers and private equity company TDR Capital.
The Issa brothers and TDR Capital are to acquire a majority ownership stake in Asda under the new ownership structure, whilst Walmart will retain an equity investment along with a seat on the board.
Chief executive Roger Burnley of Asda confirmed on Friday that the headquarters will remain in Leeds and he will remain at the helm.
