Amazon workers to receive above inflation pay rise

Amazon has revealed that their workers are to receive an above inflation pay rise from the end of the month.

Amazon workers pay will increase by 5.9% to ยฃ14.30 an hour and depending on the location some could be paid 5.5% to ยฃ15.30 per hour.

Annual salaries will start at a minimum of ยฃ29.744 up to ยฃ31,824 depending on the location which will benefit tens of thousands of staff across the UK.

Amazonโ€™s UK country manager John Boumphrey said, โ€œOur UK frontline employees are essential to our success, which is why weโ€™re proud to increase our minimum starting wage to ยฃ29,744 a year.

โ€œBeyond this competitive wage, we offer industry-leading benefits from day one and meaningful career development opportunities for all our employees.โ€
