An Air India flight bound for London from Ahmedabad has been cancelled without explanation days after the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight crashed after take-off killing 241 passengers.

According to CNN News a technical issue was found after a routine check which then led to the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner being grounded which is the same aircraft that crashed last week in Ahmedabad.

Since the tragic Air India crash last week several flights have either been cancelled or have been re-routed.

On Monday Air India flight AI12493 from Mumbai to Ahmedabad had operational issues which led to the flight being cancelled.

An Air India Express flight from Delhi to Ranchi was forced to return shortly after take-off due to โ€œa suspected technical issue.โ€

Air India Express spokesperson said in a statement, โ€œOne of our flights returned to Delhi after take-off due to a suspected technical issue.

“Following inspections and necessary clearances, the aircraft resumed scheduled operations. We regret the inconvenience caused.โ€

On Sunday a British Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was forced to return back to Heathrow Airport after suffering โ€œtechnical issueโ€ mid-air two days after the Air India crash in Ahmedabad.

The 787-8 Dreamliner was not even an hour into its journey to Chennai and circled over Dover to dump fuel before landing safely at Heathrow Airport at 1.50pm on Sunday.

BA told the MailOnline the flight returned back to Heathrow Airport as a โ€œstandard precautionโ€ and it was not declared as an emergency landing.

On the same day hours later another Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight was forced to return back to Hong Kong, Reuters reported.
