The United Arab Emirates is increasingly taking a prominent position as one of the best living destinations in the Middle East and worldwide. If you’re a newcomer seeking to start a new chapter in your career path, one of the most difficult decisions you’re likely to face will be deciding on appropriate place to live.

Well, the first step to determine the best housing option for young people in the UAE is to accurately define your exact needs. Do you look for leisure services, or affordable apartments? Will you stay for a short period or you plan to stay for long time and buy a property through mortgage programs in the UAE?

In this article, we explain some of the housing options available to young people in the UAE, and of course it’s up to you to take the final decision depending on your own preferences.

Downtown Dubai – Dubai

Based around the foot of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, you’ll never run out of things to do in Downtown Dubai, an enormous master planned city destination. As well as having great connectivity to both older and newer parts of Dubai, Downtown is also full of plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, parks and recreational facilities.

Al Marjan Islands – Ras Al Khaimah

The Al Marjan masterplan in Ras Al Khaimah encompasses four man-made islands. The island is built in the shape of coral reefs connected to a modern network of roads. The archipelago group consists of islands called Breeze, Treasure, Dream and View, and extends 4.5 kilometres into the sea. The islands also cover an area of 2,7 million square meters over a coastline approximately 23 kilometres long.

The islands are a top destination for young people thanks to their beautiful beaches that extend along the Arabian Gulf coast, as well as the charm of Ras Al Khaimah’s desert sands and high mountains. All these attractions give its visitors a well-integrated combination of relaxation and entertainment, which includes water sports, mountain climbing and safaris.

Jumeirah Beach Residence – Dubai

Jumeirah Beach Residence, located in Dubai Marina, is one of the most popular destinations in the UAE for young people. Its high-rise apartment blocks provide stunning views of the Arabian Gulf, while just beneath lies a long stretch of one of the region’s most spectacular beaches. There’s also no shortage of beautiful hotels, resorts and restaurants, making the area a perfect fit  for those looking for both excitement and relaxation.

Al Rahba – Abu Dhabi

Located in the middle of the road connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Al Rahba is an excellent starting point to visit top destinations in the UAE. The town is 40 minutes away from the centre of Abu Dhabi, and the same distance away from Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai. From Al Rahba, there is also a road that goes directly to the city of Al Ain through the Al Ajban and Sweihan areas.

Khor Al Shahama, which runs from the north of the city, is an important outlet for Al Rahba residents, where young people can practise many activities such as water sports, kayaking, football and horse riding. There are training grounds to practise all these activities at Al Wahda football club and Al Shahama Equestrian club. All these places are near to Ajban where sand sports enthusiasts can enjoy biking and sand skiing.
