The Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant, South Wales has been overrun with a major coronavirus outbreak.
The hospital has put in place service restrictions after 82 cases of the virus were confirmed.
The Royal Glamorgan Hospital said that “significant temporary service restrictions,” are now in place, which includes the suspending of planned surgery from 2pm on Wednesday.
A statement from the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board said, “Given the extent of this outbreak, and on advice of Public Health Wales, the Health Board is taking a number of urgent and significant actions to ensure the safety of our staff, patients and communities.”
