Trump praises Ukraine’s ‘badass’ drone strike on Putin’s nuclear strategic bombers

5th Jun 25 3:08 pm

The Ukrainian security services (SBU) carried a “brilliant” operation on Sunday which targeted four airbases obliterating $7 billion of war planes including the strategic nuclear capable bombers in an operation that “will undoubtedly be in the history books.”

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed late on Sunday evening writing on social media, the operation was dubbed as “Spiderweb” which gave an “absolutely brilliant result.”

A total of 41 aircraft were targeted in the raid and the US President has remained silent publicly, but behind closed doors a source told Axios, “He thought it was badass.”

Another adviser said, “From an international perspective, you’ve got a chihuahua inflicting some real damage on a much bigger dog.”

On Wednesday Trump said he spoke with Vladimir Putin for 75 minutes and described the call as good, “but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace.”

Trump said on his Truth Social, “We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes, by Ukraine, and also various other attacks that have been taking place by both sides …

“President Putin did say, and very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields.”

In a post on X Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Unfortunately, Putin feels impunity.

“Even after all of Russia’s horrific attacks, he is reportedly preparing yet more so-called ‘responses.’

“It means that with every new strike, with every delay of diplomacy, Russia is giving the finger to the entire world — to all those who still hesitate to increase pressure on it.”
