Washington has lifted the ban on military aid and intelligence sharing to Ukraine following peace talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Ukraineโ€™s Presidential Office said after the talks, โ€œThe United States is immediately lifting the pause in intelligence sharing and restoring security assistance to Ukraine.โ€

The US President Donald Trump paused military aid and intelligence following the shouting match by JD Vance toward President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office on 28 February.

The US envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellog said the believes that Trump stopped aid to force Ukraine to the negotiation table.

Ukraine said in a press release, โ€œThe delegations also discussed the importance of humanitarian efforts as part of the peace process, particularly during the aforementioned ceasefire, including the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of detained civilians, and the return of forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.โ€

โ€œUltimately, the presidents of both countries agreed to conclude a comprehensive agreement as soon as possible on the development of Ukraineโ€™s critical mineral resources to strengthen Ukraineโ€™s economy and ensure Ukraineโ€™s long-term prosperity and security,โ€ it added.

US aerospace company Maxar Technologies has also restored Ukraineโ€™s access to satellite imagery to track Russian troop movements.
